ANNA OF ARENDELLE THE PRINCESS Princess Anna of Arendelle – Female, Stage Age 18+ The optimistic, enthusiastic, and slightly disheveled Princess of Arendelle is naturally funny and fearlessly courageous. She is the younger sister of Queen Elsa of Arendelle, and her greatest flaw, and her greatest strength, is her faith in love. The actress playing Anna must be strong singer and very expressive both vocally and physically. Must be able to climb, dance, and display some acts of physical strength. Vocal Range: Soprano

BILLY FLYNN THE SILVER-TONGUED PRINCE OF THE Billy Flynn – Male, Stage Age 35 - 50 Suave, educated, and highly persuasive, Billy Flynn is an undefeated defense attorney willing to take on any client that comes to him seeking representation – for a price, that is. A sense of detachment from others should be kept in mind when interacting onstage. The actor playing Billy must have a particularly strong stage presence, and an ability to charm an audience into rooting for some objectively terrible people, up to and including himself. Tap-dancing and ventriloquism abilities are a definite plus. Vocal Range: Tenor

BILLY HARRIS THE DOCTOR Billy Harris – Male, Stage Age 28 - 30 Shy and a little bit of a wimp, Billy is a mild-mannered laundry buddy with an array of nervous tics and fidgets. The actor playing Billy must be a strong, cool character actor with a versatile array of vocal and facial expressions. Must be comfortable in front of a camera. Vocal Range: Tenor

CAPTAIN HOOK THE SLEAZIEST SLEAZE Captain Hook – Male, Stage Age 40s-50s Outwardly, Hook is a classic villain. However, underneath this delightfully evil exterior lies a weak, washed-up coward who hides behind an unemotional and controlling façade. Hook is Peter Pan’s nemesis and detests Peter’s confidence and natural charisma. The actor playing Hook must be a strong singer and character actor. Additionally, he must be fit and have the ability to master stage combat. Vocal Range: Baritone

DARLA DIMPLE THE STARLET Darla Dimple – Female, Stage Age 6 - 10 America's Sweetheart and lover of children and animals, Darla is an A-list movie star with a big and loud attitude that far outmatches her short stature. The child star has the ambition and ruthlessness needed to survive Hollywood. The actress portraying Miss Dimple must be able to sing, dance and work well with animals. Vocal Range: Soprano

D-NE THE LONELY D-ne – Female, Stage Age mid-to-late teens Soft-spoken and polite D-ne is the member of the Occult Research Club that stands out the least. She's gone through most of her life friendless, but she has a fierce devotion to the object of her affections, B-ko. The actress portraying D-ne will need to quietly and subtly draw the audience's attention, preferably in her vocal performance. The part is more taxing emotionally rather than physically, and high vocal endurance is a must. Vocal Range: Soprano

ELIZA HAMILTON THE HELPLESS Eliza Schuyler-Hamilton – Female, Stage Age 20s - 30s Fiercely loyal, self-possessed, proud. Alicia Keys meets Elphaba. Eliza is the wife of founding father Alexander Hamilton. She is warm, maternal and will do just about anything for her family. The actress portraying Eliza must be able to sing and dance in synchronization with Angelica and Peggy, and beat box. Vocal Range: Soprano

GABRIEL GOODMAN THE SUPERBOY Gabriel (Gabe) Goodman – Male, Stage Age 18-29 Charming and compelling, Gabe is the perfect teenage boy. He's bright, athletic, attractive, and everything a family could want. Underneath the bright exterior, however, lies a darker side and secrets waiting to come out. What kind of secrets? Well, that's the play - he wouldn't want us to give it away! The actor for this part needs to have a commanding presence, and the ability to charm the audience in just a few bars, but also the ability to fade into the background when necessary. Vocal Range: Tenor

HANS OF THE SOUTHERN ISLES THE MIRROR Prince Hans Westergaard – Male, Stage Age early 20s A handsome devil and a prince charming by any other name, Hans' commitment to playing a perfect prince makes him the perfect guy to trust. But life hasn't always been easy for him — Hans is the last of thirteen princes, unloved and unnoticed by his family, and therefore willing to do whatever it takes to take center stage. The actor playing Hans must be able to vary his tone and body language from scene to scene, able to play off his castmembers as needed. Additionally, he should be able to grow exceptional sideburns, sharp as a blade! Vocal Range: Tenor

HEATHER MCNAMARA THE BEST FRIEND Heather McNamara – Female, Stage Age late teens Bubbly teen royalty and head cheerleader, Heather McNamara is second-in-command in the most popular clique in school. Mean on command, Heather follows in the footsteps of the girls around her. She is confident on the exterior, and deeply troubled and unsure on the interior. The actress for Heather must be energetic and cheerful, with a capability to seem anxious. The actress for Heather should be able to garner sympathy, and be able to sing and dance in synchronization with others. Vocal Range: Soprano

HIME SHIRAYUKI THE SHRINKING VIOLET Hime Shirayuki – Female, Stage Age 14-16 Hime is a spoiled, once sheltered princess who's gone through a series of adventures to start to draw her out of her shell. She admires her fellow heroes and wants to help people, but she can be selfish and naive and deals with near-constant anxiety. The actress playing Hime must be able to project at high volume as well as dance and fight, including using stage equipment to simulate flight or high jumps. Vocal Range: Soprano

INSPECTOR JAVERT THE LAW Inspector Javert – Male, Stage Age 40s-50s Dedicated to the law and a firm sense of good and evil, Inspector Javert is willing to do whatever it takes to ensure justice is served. While he can seem to be unsympathetic at times, he always believes what he is doing is the right thing. This would be longer, but to be honest, we know nothing of Javert. The actor playing Javert must have an impeccable sense of rhythm and timing. Must be able to fence and have no fear of heights. Vocal Range: Baritone

JEAN VALJEAN THE BREADWINNER Jean Valjean – Male, Stage Age 40s - 60s A paroled convict, Prisoner 24601. Failing to find work with his yellow parole note and redeemed by the Bishop of Digne's mercy, he tears up the parole note and conceals his identity to live his life as an honest man. Jean Valjean is supposed to be stronger than other men, and so physically should appear robust. He should reasonably carry himself as mature and paternal. Valjean's ability to change is his greatest asset. The key to his character is his great humanity and compassion. Valjean is a vocally demanding role, and this actor must have great vocal stamina. Vocal Range: Dramatic Baritone

JEZEBEL MEPHISTOPHELES THE HELL PRINCESS Jezebel Mephistopheles, Daughter of Satan – Female, Stage Age 18+ Jezebel, the princess of Hell, is sheltered and well-groomed, but savvy and driven when it comes to pursuing her goals, and she wants more than anything to escape the confines of Hell itself and find love, a purpose that should not be forgotten in her performance. Avoid any demonic stereotypes in her behavior, but also avoid a holier-than-thou attitude or total innocent naivete. The actress must be a strong and expressive singer, and be comfortable acting in heavy makeup. While the character has wings they are not used, and so no wire work is necessary. Vocal Range: Soprano

NATALIE GOODMAN THE INVISIBLE GIRL Natalie Goodman – Female, Stage Age mid-to-late teens Standoffish and sometimes cold, Natalie uses a prickly exterior to protect herself from being hurt. A troubled family life has left her cynical and distrustful. She is witty and intelligent, and used to putting her needs aside for the needs of others. The actress for this part should be capable of seeming withdrawn and displaying a hidden tenderness and longing for something more at the same time, and remain sympathetic to the audience despite her occasional poor decisions. Vocal Range: Mezzo-Soprano

RAOUL DE CHAGNY THE CHARMING RIVAL Raoul de Chagny – Male, Stage Age 25+ A well-bred and handsome gentleman, Raoul serves as the charming romantic interest firmly grounded in a world of truth and light. He is gallant and noble, taking action and making good on his promises, willing to fight for what he believes in and for whom he loves with all of his being. An actor portraying Raoul should possess the following in both action and voice: poise, determination, and a gentle, fervent passion when interacting with his leading lady. He should also be physically fit in anticipation for the challenges of his final scene. In other words, almost unnaturally perfect. Vocal Range: Baritone

SEYMOUR KRELBORN THE MEEK Seymour Krelborn – Male, Stage Age 20+ An insecure, but kind orphan. Seymour was taken in by Mr. Mushnik and is the clerk for his failing flower shop, as he has a blossoming enthusiasm for plants himself. He means well, but he's pretty green and sort of a sap, so he struggles with being too easily manipulated for his own good. His actor must be someone you can sympathize with, but not necessarily root for. He must also be someone weedy and clumsy, with very little physical strength. Vocal Range: Tenor - High Baritone

SHIVA SHINGETSU ASTARTE THE VESSEL Shiva Shingetsu Astarte – Female, Stage Age approximately 16 Astarte is a mysterious, quiet girl. She is the mirror of Sailor Moon, her supposed rival, and comrade - skittish around humans, unsure of her destiny to save the world, becoming weaker for seemingly no reason as time goes by. She wants to do the right thing, but unknown to her, the dark and terrible secret she holds is tied to the fate of Earth. While she is not a major character, she should be memorable to those who see her on stage. The actress playing Astarte should be able to do some specifically complex martial arts and gestures, and also be able to sing, with a strong timbre at times. She should also be capable of a range of acting capable of seeming to be like two people entirely - one like Astarte, the other dark and menacing - when the moment requires. Mysterious, isn't it? Vocal Range: Mezzo-Soprano

THE PIRATE KING THE PIRATE KING The Pirate King – Male, Stage Age 30+ A supposedly dashing rogue, the Pirate King is actually anything but. He's petty, rash, and not as fearless as he pretends to be, but the Pirate King's a charismatic individual who rallies people together and truly cares about his crew. The Pirate King has a soft spot for orphans, and this should be brought up frequently. The actor playing the Pirate King needs to be as over-the-top as possible and capable of stealing the scenes. The Pirate King is not the protagonist, but the audience should still be rooting for him by the end. This actor (the actor of the Pirate King) should be capable of singing while dancing and lunging around the stage. Vocal Range: Bass-Baritone

WINSLOW LEACH THE SELLOUT Winslow Leach – Male, Stage Age 20+ Soft-spoken and naive, Winslow is a songwriter with a talent for cranking out tunes. But this songwriter is with a zealous, explosive side, going to extreme lengths to protect what he loves. The actor playing Winslow must work with the costume, using a wide range of facial and vocal expression to inspire unease and even perhaps pity. Must be able to perform own stunts. Vocal Range: Baritone
