merchandise booth [regains]
The Merchandise Booth sits off to one side. Unlike most, it’s always closed up; the metal screen is pulled down and locked in place. But there’s a small box with a coin slot sitting on the counter, along with a sign that reads “ONLY ACCEPTING COINS - NO CREDIT CARDS” in very nice handwriting. If you put a coin in, a smaller door will open and your merchandise will be shoved out. There doesn’t seem to be any way to pick what you get...you’ll just have to try your luck.
So what is this?
What are these coins?
ICly, they’re just unmarked silver coins, of no recognizable origin. OOCly, coins are awarded for every 20-comment thread (10 comments per person) submitted here. Any threads between two player characters that do not take place during investigations, trials and motive announcements are eligible for a coin. Threads with mod NPCs such as the showrunner are eligible for coins as well, but the one catch to this is that private conversations and letters do not count – the thread must take place in public
Why should I buy your weird merch?
What, besides cool new stuff? Well, okay.
Renewable items?
One out of your five items can be renewable – that is, they have the potential to come out of the booth more than one time. They can be consumable things like food, candy, liquor or cigarettes; they can also be things like yarn, socks, whatever you like!
Is there a way to increase our odds?
Yes! You can combine coins into a single submission to bump up your odds of getting a regain.
Do coins expire? Do my coins have to be from this week?
Eligible threads don't expire! For example, you can still submit week 1 and intro log threads after week 1 ends.
Can we use our coins to opt out of death rolls?
Of course not. Are you suggesting bribery?
My threadmate turned in our thread already. Do I have to turn it in too to get a coin?
Yes
How do threads with more than two people work?
In order to be able to redeem a thread, your character has to have contributed the minimum 10 comments normally in a standard coin thread. For instance, in order for all parties to be able to submit it, a 3-person thread has to be 30+ comments with at least 10 from each person, a 4-person has to be 40+, etc. Any participant with at least 10 comments can submit it for coin so long as the thread is at least 20 comments total.
The character I was threading with died. Can I still get paid for interacting with them?
WHY NOT. Dead characters can no longer redeem coins, but you living do whatever you want.
What’s this I hear about song rewards?
Excellent question! Threads which include a song can be redeemed for two coins! Only song participants get this bonus, so if your character didn’t sing, the thread will be worth one coin. On the other hand, all song participants get a bonus, so a duet will result in two coins for both performers!
When you have a thread long enough to be redeemed, comment below with a link to the thread. The mods will respond with sweet loot accordingly.

CONGRATULATIONS
A huge tuning fork that hides the power to destroy the entire world with resonance, if used by someone who has mastered the art of tuning. It’s also good for drying out laundry.
2 - 060. Iver-Johnson .32
Rubber handles, owls stamped on the sides. It's unloaded.
3 - Elsa's Crown
A thin golden crown set with a blue jewel. For some reason, it feels cold to the touch at first...like it's spent a long time sitting on a snowy mountain somewhere.
4 - 011. Popcorn
Freshly made and smelling delicious. It's absolutely edible, but a little oversalted.
5 - Red Scrunchie
A red scrunchie. Wearing it makes you feel powerful.
6 - 047. Sandbag
A small sandbag. It only weighs a few pounds.
7 - 053. Green Puppet
A green puppet in a gray hoodie. It seems too complex for one person.
