IT'S CURTAINS - A MUSICAL MURDER GAME INTEREST CHECK

Welcome, welcome, one and all to the greatest show on Earth! We've got intrigue, mysteries, betrayal and of course...murder.

It's Curtains is a short-term murder game in the style of Dangan Roleplay and Trustfell with a musical twist: all characters involved will be from various musically-inclined canons. That means stage musicals, movie musicals, musical episodes of TV series! The character limit will be set at 20 (1 character per player and 2 characters per canon) and the game is set to run for 5-7 weeks, including endgame with plans to possibly start around October.

And yes, friends, there will be singing.

Questions/Feedback: How exactly will the musical aspect be handled in written RP? (I've seen a lot of musical events in RP that are just people copy/pasting song lyrics, so how this works is very important to my interest.)

The musical aspect is on the simple, fluid side. We're not requiring people to write their own songs or even rewrite existing songs (unless they want to and we do encourage it!). But if you find a Mumford and Sons song that fits your characters feelings/the situation then by God, break out the banjos.

We're also going to be adding incentives to use the song mechanic in-game: if a thread submitted for a regain coin includes singing we'll be rewarding the players with an additional coin!
