Application [act 3]

Applications are currently OPEN

To apply, please fill out this form and submit it in the comments:

OOC

Name:

Age: [Players must be at least 15]

Timezone:

Reserve link: [Reserves are mandatory.]

OOC contact: [Plurk and Discord are preferred.]

IC

Name:

Age: [Characters must be at minimum 15 in human years at their true canon point but if their age is ambiguous/not stated it’s acceptable if your character is justifiably around this age at minimum. Also see the maturity clause in the FAQ.]

Canon:

Canon point: [Because of the memory loss aspect of this round, we’re asking that you pick 2 canon points, the point your character thinks they’re from and and the point that they’re actually from.]

History: [Wiki links welcome. If you don't feel the wiki has sufficient information or doesn't exist, just write up a brief synopsis for your character's history. It doesn't have to be long, just give us a general idea of what they've been through.]

Memories: [Pick between 5-6 memories from between your character’s presumed canon point and their actual canon point. The day after each successful trial, surviving characters will be rewarded with 1 of their memories. These memories can be as mundane or as plot-relevant to your character as you like. Players will choose what memories will be regained.]

Regains: [With the inclusion of the Merchandise Booth, we’re asking you to include 5 concrete items that will be put in the Merchandise Booth and may be regained over the course of the game. Each character is also allowed one renewable item (like cigarettes, for example). Items can belong to other characters as long as that character is not in the game, but they must have personal significance to your character (for example, Matilda could regain Trunchbull’s weight lifting belt but the Beast couldn’t regain LeFou’s musket).]

Strengths & weaknesses: [This is the important part. We want you to make this as detailed as you would a personality section on any other app. This is more for our benefit than to evaluate you so we can come up with the best way to break your character like a geode.]

Skills & abilities/role in canon: [Upon acceptance characters will be given a title that can be found and in their yearbook leaflets, a yearbook superlative if you will. These titles are based on their roles in canon and their actions in canon. For example, the Balladeer would be Most Likely To Assassinate A Sitting President or the Leading Player would be Best 2nd Try Showrunner.]

We encourage you to come up with your own titles if you have ideas and use this section to justify them to us. We also encourage you to not be afraid to get a little mean. ;)]

Motives: [What are some things that are important to your character? What would motivate them to kill? People/material goods/power/secrets, anything. This is so we can tailor the weekly motives to things characters would possibly commit murder over.]

Sample: [Show us how your character would interact with the setting of the mutual killing game. This can be them plotting a hypothetical murder, being the victim of a hypothetical murder or just exploring. The choice is yours.

If you participated in the test drive with the character you’re apping you may use links from it if they’re at least 20 comments total or 10 comments from your character instead of writing a full sample.]

Plot Involvement

Would you like to volunteer for a case?: [Already have a great idea for a case? Have a previous engagement on a certain weekend and want to just clear your schedule for it? Just want to cause your friends a bit of agony? Let us know here!]

Any questions should be PMed to this account or [plurk.com profile] slothbless or [plurk.com profile] lluosogrwydd on plurk or our public mod plurk [plurk.com profile] stagemanagers!

Please do not link your apps. We ask this because we prefer to keep things such as possible motives and mole possibilities secret.
