merchandise booth (regains)
So what is this?
The Concession Stand located in the eastern hallway also sells show merchandise! This is a place where characters can obtain items, both strange and familiar! ICly, characters will wake up to find coins deposited on their vanity from time to time. These can be traded here for a randomly selected item.
What are these coins?
ICly, they’re just unmarked coins of no recognizable origin. OOCly, coins are awarded for every five comments from your character in a thread. Multiple increments in one thread for multiple coins ARE allowed up to five, or 25 comments!
Any threads between player characters that do not take place during investigations, trials and motive announcements are eligible for a coin. Threads with mod NPCs such as the showrunner are eligible for coins as well, but the one catch to this is that private conversations and letters do not count – the thread must take place in public
Why should I buy your weird merch?
What, besides cool new stuff? Well, okay.
This is where you have the chance to get those five regains you put down in your app. It's all up to the RNG, of course, and you may even end up getting someone else's belongings instead. You’ve got a 10% chance of getting a regain, yours or someone else’s, with every coin submitted, so keep those threads a-comin’!
Renewable items?
One out of your five items can be renewable – that is, they have the potential to come out of the booth more than one time. They can be consumable things like food, candy, liquor or cigarettes; they can also be things like yarn, socks, whatever you like!
Do coins expire? Do my coins have to be from this week?
Eligible threads don't expire! For example, you can still submit week 1 and intro log threads after week 1 ends.
My threadmate turned in our thread already. Do I have to turn it in too to get a coin?
Yep!
The character I was threading with died. Can I still get paid for interacting with them?
WHY NOT. Dead characters can no longer redeem coins, but you living do whatever you want.
I have a thread with an NPC. Can I submit that too?
Yes! As long as it's in a public post (ex. a weekly log or afterparty) those are acceptable.
What’s this I hear about song rewards?
Excellent question! Threads which include a song can be redeemed for one additional free coin! Only song participants get this bonus, so if your character didn’t sing, the thread will be worth the normal amount of coins. On the other hand, all song participants get a bonus, so a duet will result in extra coins for both performers!
When you have a thread long enough to be redeemed, comment below with a link to the thread. Please include the number of comments and, if possible, number of total coins from your character in each thread you submit. The mods will respond with sweet loot accordingly.
CONGRATULATIONS
2. Triple Gooberberry Sunrise: An absolutely outrageous sundae perfect for drowning your sorrows after your boss refuses your earned promotion.
3. Opera Glasses: A pair of old-fashioned opera glasses, like little binoculars with a stick. They look antique, but still work well.
4. Green Glasses: A pair of steampunky golden glasses with green lenses. Wow, it's all grand and it's all green!
5. Dry Ice: A lump of vaguely smoking ice in a plastic bag. Just add water and you get some very convincing fog! I wouldn't recommend putting it in your cocktail though unless you like the taste of burning. Handle with gloves.
6. Everlasting Gobstobber: A single piece of hard candy. No matter how long you suck on it, it never grows smaller.
7. Grammy: A small medal on a pedestal. Congratulations; you've won!
8. Sprite: A replacement lemon-lime soda that will not scare the children!
9. Hair Flower: A bright pink flower hair pin.
10. White Wine: A fine white wine for a quiet evening in your dressing room. The label says "Sauvion Palais Garnier". It has notes of tangerine and mischief.
11. Kinky Boots: A pair of glittering red thigh-highs. They'll definitely fit you.
12. Red Opera Gloves: A pair of long satin gloves that are perfect for a night out at the opera! These ones would be good at hiding stains...you know, from tomato juice or something.
13. Rainbow Fantasy Jacket: A coat of many colors! It is red and yellow and green and brown and blue...
14. Café Con Leche: A hot cup of coffee, already lightened and sweetened with condensed milk.
15. Pom-Poms: A pair of red and white cheerleading pom-poms. Hurrah!
16. Mama's Lunch: A delicate pink lunchbox. It's contents include a protein shake, a falcon's egg and a rock.
