merchandise booth (regains)
So what is this?
The Concession Stand located in the eastern hallway also sells show merchandise! This is a place where characters can obtain items, both strange and familiar! ICly, characters will wake up to find coins deposited on their vanity from time to time. These can be traded here for a randomly selected item.
What are these coins?
ICly, they’re just unmarked coins of no recognizable origin. OOCly, coins are awarded for every five comments from your character in a thread. Multiple increments in one thread for multiple coins ARE allowed up to five, or 25 comments!
Any threads between player characters that do not take place during investigations, trials and motive announcements are eligible for a coin. Threads with mod NPCs such as the showrunner are eligible for coins as well, but the one catch to this is that private conversations and letters do not count – the thread must take place in public
Why should I buy your weird merch?
What, besides cool new stuff? Well, okay.
This is where you have the chance to get those five regains you put down in your app. It's all up to the RNG, of course, and you may even end up getting someone else's belongings instead. You’ve got a 10% chance of getting a regain, yours or someone else’s, with every coin submitted, so keep those threads a-comin’!
Renewable items?
One out of your five items can be renewable – that is, they have the potential to come out of the booth more than one time. They can be consumable things like food, candy, liquor or cigarettes; they can also be things like yarn, socks, whatever you like!
Do coins expire? Do my coins have to be from this week?
Eligible threads don't expire! For example, you can still submit week 1 and intro log threads after week 1 ends.
My threadmate turned in our thread already. Do I have to turn it in too to get a coin?
Yep!
The character I was threading with died. Can I still get paid for interacting with them?
WHY NOT. Dead characters can no longer redeem coins, but you living do whatever you want.
I have a thread with an NPC. Can I submit that too?
Yes! As long as it's in a public post (ex. a weekly log or afterparty) those are acceptable.
What’s this I hear about song rewards?
Excellent question! Threads which include a song can be redeemed for one additional free coin! Only song participants get this bonus, so if your character didn’t sing, the thread will be worth the normal amount of coins. On the other hand, all song participants get a bonus, so a duet will result in extra coins for both performers!
When you have a thread long enough to be redeemed, comment below with a link to the thread. Please include the number of comments and, if possible, number of total coins from your character in each thread you submit. The mods will respond with sweet loot accordingly.
CONGRATULATIONS
2. Red Vines: Share one with your new best friend. Red Vines- What the hell can't they do?!
3. Glo Tape: Glow in the dark tape. Makes it easy to hit those marks during a blackout!
4. Golden Slippers: The slippers as pure as gold. They're small, but someone here may be able to fit in them.
5. Hair Flower: A bright pink flower hair pin.
6. Rainbow Fantasy Jacket: A coat of many colors! It is red and yellow and green and brown and blue...
7. Enchanted Rose: A rose in a glass container that glows with a faint pink light. It looks magical, but on closer inspection, it's actually battery-powered.
8. Tuba: Dear god. You're VERY lucky there's only one of these.
9. Loaf of Bread: A loaf of French bread. Worth nineteen years of hard labor!
10. Turn Off the Lawsuit: A plastic neck brace with a an almost illegible signature starting with a "P" (but maybe an "R") scribbled on it in black sharpie.
11. Rope: A coiled length of rope. It's just about long enough to reach from the floor to the ceiling.
12. Sonic the Hedgehog Plush: An almost life size plush of Sega's famous mascot. The kind of plush you'd win at an arcade... or be given if you were voted the Sega Staff Image Girl.
13. Men's Suit - An expertly-tailored pinstriped charcoal grey suit, similar to those worn by lawyers, except this one comes with red pinstripes and matching pocket square. The pinstripes look like they sparkle when the light hits them right.
14. Krabby Patty: ~The Krusty Krab: Come Spend Your Money Here~!
15. Tom Jones Cutout: Place him in front of a mic for an instant guest performer. Warm the audience up with a beautiful recording of "Delilah"!
16. Striped Scarf: A long striped scarf. Wearing it makes you look very Bohemian.
17. Gershwin Groundhogs Mascot Suit: A mascot suit for those of you who have always wondered what it's like to predict the weather. It's old, a bit musty and threadbare in a few places but comes with a full body suit and mascot head. One size fits all.
18. Mama's Lunch: A delicate pink lunchbox. It's contents include a protein shake, a falcon's egg and a rock.
19. Slushie: A bright red slushie. It'd be a shame if this got on anything.
20. Ruby Slippers: A pair of shiny ruby shoes. Clicking the heels together makes a very satisfying sound.
21. Raoul's Top Hat: A shiny black top hat. Looks expensive!
22. A Suitcase: Finally, a way to succeed in business! But do you want to try? Includes a framed photograph of a dark-haired young man in a suit.
